Business electronics recycling

Recycling that comes with proof — not just a promise

Most electronics recycling options available to businesses are built around convenience, not accountability. A drop-off bin, a pickup with no documentation, a certificate that covers a truckload rather than an individual device. When a data breach happens, that kind of documentation does not hold up.

Prime Asset Recovery handles electronics recycling differently. Every engagement — regardless of size — includes a signed pickup manifest documenting every asset collected, certified data destruction on every data-bearing device, and a serialized certificate of destruction per device. All downstream recycling is handled by our R2-certified partners.

If your equipment has residual value, we assess it and return proceeds through direct buyback or revenue share. Many businesses receive a check rather than an invoice.

What we accept

  • Servers and server equipment
  • Laptops and desktop computers
  • Monitors and displays
  • Networking equipment — routers, switches, firewalls
  • Mobile phones and tablets
  • Hard drives and storage media
  • Printers and peripherals
  • Battery backup and UPS systems
  • Cables, accessories, and miscellaneous IT equipment
  • Data center equipment and infrastructure

What every engagement includes

The same documented process on every job

Signed pickup manifest

Every asset collected is logged by serial number at pickup. You receive a signed manifest before our truck leaves — chain of custody begins the moment we arrive.

Certified data destruction

Every data-bearing device is physically shredded or wiped to NIST SP 800-88 standards at our Marietta facility. A serialized certificate of destruction is issued per device — not per batch.

Responsible downstream recycling

Non-recoverable equipment is transferred to our R2-certified downstream recycling partners for responsible material disposition. Nothing goes to landfill.

Value recovery assessment

Every asset is assessed for resale value at no cost to you. Equipment that can be remarketed generates a payment back to you through direct buyback or revenue share.

Final asset report

On completion you receive a full asset report covering every item collected — disposition method, destruction date, and any recovery value returned. Suitable for compliance audit purposes.

Compliance

Documentation that holds up in an audit

HIPAA

Healthcare organizations require certified destruction of PHI-bearing devices with device-level documentation. We provide serialized certificates of destruction per device — the standard required for HIPAA audit purposes.

SOX & PCI-DSS

Financial data and cardholder data environments require auditable chain of custody. Every engagement is documented to the device level with signed pickup manifests and serialized destruction certificates.

NIST SP 800-88

All data sanitization follows NIST SP 800-88 guidelines — the federal standard for media sanitization. Certificates issued per device, not per batch.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum quantity?

No minimum. We handle single-device pickups the same as large office cleanouts. Every engagement receives the same documentation and destruction standards regardless of size.

Is pickup free?

For most business pickups in metro Atlanta and Cobb County, there is no charge for pickup. For very small quantities or locations outside our primary service area, we will discuss logistics and any applicable fees upfront before scheduling.

What happens to our data?

Every data-bearing device is physically shredded or wiped to NIST SP 800-88 standards at our Marietta facility. You receive a serialized certificate of destruction tied to each device's serial number. Nothing is outsourced — we control the full destruction process.

What if our equipment still has value?

We assess everything for resale value at no cost to you. Equipment that can be remarketed generates a payment back to you through direct buyback or revenue share. Many businesses are surprised at what their retired IT equipment is worth.

Do you recycle monitors and non-data equipment?

Yes. Monitors, printers, keyboards, cables, battery backups, and general IT peripherals are all accepted. Everything is processed through our R2-certified downstream recycling partners for responsible material disposition.

Do you serve residential customers?

Our primary focus is business and enterprise clients. For residential recycling options in the Atlanta area, check community drop-off events — we occasionally participate in public e-waste collection events.
