Who we are

About Prime Asset Recovery

A Marietta, GA-based IT asset disposition company built around accountability, documentation, and recovering real value for the organizations we work with. Founded by IT security professionals who understood what responsible asset disposition should look like — and how rarely it was actually delivered.

Our story

We built the operation we wished existed when we were on the other side of the table

Prime Asset Recovery was founded by professionals with backgrounds in IT security and infrastructure management — people who had spent years managing enterprise environments and understood firsthand what responsible asset disposition should look like, and how rarely it was actually delivered.

Most ITAD vendors fell into one of two categories: large national companies with rigid processes and no interest in smaller engagements, or local operators with no documentation standards and questionable downstream practices. We built a third option.

An operation that controls its own processing, issues device-level certificates of destruction on every job, and actively works to return value to clients rather than capturing it internally. An operation that treats a 20-device pickup with the same documentation rigor as a 2,000-device data center decommission.

Seven years and more than 740 engagements later, that approach has produced a client base where more than one in three organizations has returned for additional engagements — many multiple times. That repeat rate reflects the trust built through consistent execution rather than marketing promises.

Our equipment

Built to handle what enterprise destruction actually requires

Ameri-Shred AMS-300HD-SSD

Purpose-built HDD and SSD shredder at our Marietta facility. Every hard drive and solid state drive we collect is destroyed here — all form factors including SATA, SAS, NVMe, and M.2. Serialized certificates of destruction issued per device.

Enerpat MSB-E600 Twin Shaft Shredder

Industrial twin-shaft shredder for full device destruction. Laptops, tablets, mobile devices, peripherals, and complete electronics — reduced to fragments suitable for responsible downstream recycling. Also available for secure product destruction engagements.

KillDisk Industrial Wipe Station

Multi-drive NIST SP 800-88 compliant wipe station for devices with remaining resale value. Drives processed in parallel with verified audit logs per device — certificates of sanitization issued on completion.

Need secure product destruction? Our Enerpat MSB-E600 is available for businesses that need secure destruction of products, materials, or assets beyond IT equipment — branded merchandise, sensitive documents in hard format, proprietary components, and more. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

How we operate differently

Three things that set us apart from most ITAD providers

We control our own destruction process

Most ITAD companies outsource shredding to third-party vendors. We operate two industrial shredders at our own Marietta facility — the Ameri-Shred AMS-300HD-SSD for drives and the Enerpat MSB-E600 for full device destruction. Your media is destroyed under our direct supervision, not handed off to a subcontractor.

We return value instead of capturing it

Retired IT equipment carries real market value. Most ITAD vendors quietly retain that value while charging clients for disposal. We assess every asset, run it through our remarketing process, and return proceeds through direct buyback or revenue share. Many clients receive payment rather than an invoice.

We give every client enterprise-level documentation

Large ITAD companies reserve their best documentation practices for their largest accounts. We apply the same serialized certificate of destruction, signed pickup manifest, and asset-level reporting to every engagement — regardless of whether it is 5 devices or 500 racks.

Who we work with

Our typical client

We work primarily with mid-market organizations in the 50 to 500 employee range across healthcare, financial services, professional services, and distribution. We also serve smaller Atlanta-area businesses that need secure, documented electronics recycling with proper data destruction.

What our clients have in common: they take data security seriously, they need documentation that holds up in an audit, and they want to work with a vendor they can trust to do what they say they will do. If that describes your organization, we are a good fit.
