Business electronics recycling done right — with proof
Prime Asset Recovery provides electronics recycling and IT asset disposition for businesses throughout the Atlanta metro area. Based in Marietta, GA, we serve clients from Buckhead to Alpharetta, Midtown to Dunwoody — with the same documented process on every engagement regardless of size.
Most businesses have two concerns when retiring old electronics: making sure their data is gone and making sure the equipment is disposed of responsibly. We handle both. Every data-bearing device is physically shredded or wiped to NIST SP 800-88 standards at our Marietta, GA facility, and you receive a serialized certificate of destruction for each one. All downstream electronics recycling is handled by our R2-certified processing partners.
If your equipment still has value — and it often does — we assess it and return what it is worth through direct buyback or revenue share. Many Atlanta businesses receive a check rather than an invoice for their retired IT equipment.

Our facility
A real operation — not a drop-off box
We operate a secure processing facility in Marietta, GA where all equipment is received, inventoried, and processed. Your equipment does not go to an unknown third party — it comes to us, and we handle it from there.
Our Ameri-Shred AMS-300HD-SSD shredder — every data-bearing device is destroyed here at our Marietta, GA facility
Post-destruction output from a single engagement — no data is recoverable from shredded media
End-user devices we accept

From single-device pickups to large corporate refresh cycles — we process all quantities of business-grade end-user equipment.
HP EliteDesk mini desktops from a corporate refresh — volume end-user device lots assessed for resale value before processing
Mixed laptop and end-user device lot from a business refresh — HP, Acer, and Dell laptops along with docking stations processed through our facility
What happens to your data
Your data is destroyed. Here is how we prove it.
Physical shredding
Hard drives and SSDs are fed through our Ameri-Shred AMS-300HD-SSD shredder at our Marietta, GA facility. The drive is physically destroyed — fragments cannot be reassembled or read by any method. This is the highest assurance level of data destruction available.
Certified wipe for redeployable devices
Devices being resold or donated receive a NIST SP 800-88 compliant wipe — every sector overwritten and verified. Appropriate for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices where the hardware still has value.
Certificate of destruction
Every data-bearing device receives its own serialized certificate of destruction tied to its serial number. You receive the certificates along with a full asset report when the engagement is complete — documentation you can keep on file.
How it works
Simple process. No surprises.

Destruction and processing
All data-bearing devices are destroyed at our Marietta facility and responsibly recycled through our R2-certified downstream partners. Equipment is assessed for any applicable recovery value.
You receive documentation and any payment
Certificates of destruction, a full asset report, and any applicable buyback payment — delivered within five business days of processing completion.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum quantity?
No minimum. We handle single-device pickups the same as large office cleanouts. Every engagement receives the same documentation and destruction standards regardless of size.
Is the pickup free?
For most business pickups in the Atlanta metro, there is no charge for pickup. For very small quantities or locations outside our primary service area, we will discuss logistics and any applicable fees upfront before scheduling.
Can I get a certificate of destruction for my hard drives?
Yes — every data-bearing device receives a serialized certificate of destruction tied to its serial number. This is included on every engagement at no additional charge.
What if my equipment still works and has value?
We assess everything for resale value at no cost to you. Equipment that can be remarketed generates a payment back to you — either direct buyback or revenue share after resale. Many businesses are surprised at what their old equipment is worth.
Do you recycle monitors and non-data equipment?
Yes. Monitors, printers, keyboards, cables, battery backups, and general IT peripherals are all accepted. Everything is processed through our R2-certified downstream recycling partners for responsible material disposition.
Where exactly do you pick up?
We serve businesses throughout metro Atlanta including Marietta, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Midtown, Roswell, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Duluth, Norcross, Johns Creek, Decatur, Tucker, Lawrenceville, Peachtree City, Woodstock, Acworth, Canton, and surrounding areas.
