Zoo Atlanta and Prime Asset Recovery partnered to collect and responsibly recycle electronics from the Atlanta community — keeping 4,277 pounds of e-waste out of landfills.
About the Event
A successful day for Atlanta's environment
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Zoo Atlanta and Prime Asset Recovery hosted a community electronics recycling event at Zoo Atlanta from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Atlanta-area residents brought in unwanted electronics for responsible recycling and certified data destruction.
The event collected 4,277 pounds of electronics across two collection streams — small consumer devices handled through Zoo Atlanta's Green Team and Eco-Cell partnership, and larger enterprise and household electronics processed by Prime Asset Recovery's professional service team.
All large electronics collected by Prime Asset Recovery received certified data destruction and were processed through our R2-aligned recycling partners, ensuring nothing went to landfill.
